nyc.

This summer I was supposed to go to New York City for a very special camp. The camp is called SOCAPA. It focuses on the arts. Dancing, singing, screenwriting, film, photography, and so on. I was going there to learn about film which had screenwriting tied into it.

My program was 3 weeks long and we would be making a short film each week. I was excited to learn and pursue something I was passionate about. I would have also been able to leave my parents for 3 weeks (the actual teenage dream). It would have helped me mature and become more independent, while living in my favorite city in the world.

However due to rona, I won’t be able to go this year. I was given the option by my parents to transfer to the L.A. camp or go to NYC next year. For me personally, I still want they NYC experience so I m excited to go next year.

New York has always been a big deal to me. I just love the vibe and culture surrounding it. My ultimate goal in life is to be able to own a loft there and a nice house in California ( yes, I am aware I will need to be rich).

The last trip I took to New York was actually very last minute. It was the summer of 2018. Greta and Zoe were going to New York and I ket begging my parents to let me. Somehow, by July they said okay, and in August I was shipped off for 2 weeks. I have family there who were happy to have me. My aunt and uncle live in Stonybrook, Long Island, and my cousin lives in Manhattan. I stayed in Stonybrook for the beginning and end of my stay and got to experince the non-city side of New York. However, I was as excited as ever to go to the city.

Keep in mind this is the year I was obsessed with Tom Holland, and spiderman, so being in New York was super exciting for me.
